Wanha Karhunmäki is a camping-, coursing- and a social
centre maintained by Karhunmäki-foundation. Wanha Karhunmäki
is also a popular meeting place for companies and associations
as well as a capacious and a practical place for many festivities.
Our strengths are diverse, modern facilities, tasty food and
location close to the nature.
Wanha Karhunmäki began its function year 1914, being
the first pietist (herännäisyys) college in Finland.
The college moved to the centre of Lapua 1988 and after that
the facilities have been modified to meet the present needs.
We offer affordable packets to school camps, slalom skiers,
sports and other groups. We arrange guided tours, where we
get acquainted with Ostrobothnian manual skills and architecture
as well as the strong history of the area and the pietist
human nature.
